TWENTY-THREE mixed triples from the three counties and Wales, competed for the Larry Powell Memorial Trophy at Eastnor Bowls Club recently.

Again due to the superb organisation of the tournament organisers, Toby and Roy Bennett together with the background staff, lead by President Harry Merredy, this was once again a highly successful day.

The standard of play, on a fast running green, was very high and this culminated in a superb final watched by a large appreciative crowd.

This years runners-up were Coleford Triples - Eileen Bird, Colin Bird and Brian Price (skip) but the worthy winners from the Eastnor Club were Pat Hoffman, Colin Billingham and Mike Hoffman (skip).
