Ledbury Town were brought down to earth with a bump on Wednesday evening when they visited local rivals Kington Town in the Express & Star Premier Division.
KINGTON 5, LEDBURY TOWN 0 Injury-hit Ledbury, missing five regular first team players including top striker Robbie Colwell, found themselves trailing 5-0 at half-time but a spirited second half performance saw them create several chances but they could not find the net.
Manager Paul Wilband said: "Everthing Kington hit seemed to go in but we had plenty of chances in the second half and it could have easily finished five-all but we just did not have the strikers.
"It's going to be hard going over the next few weeks due to our injuries but we just have to press on."
Tomorrow (Saturday) Ledbury Town are away to Wolverhampton Casuals (2.45) and then on Wednesday (October 3) travel to Star (7.45).
