Ledbury Jobcentre is offering people a new way of looking for work, thanks to high-tech computer terminals which can give job seekers the details of over 400,000 vacancies in the UK and abroad.
Members of staff have been helping clients get to grips with the touch screen "Jobpoint" system, which means that noticeboards are now a thing of the past.
The two computer databases in the Bye Street venue have replaced all the old noticeboards and should make job hunting quicker and more efficient.
Wendy Preston-Lemon, Ledbury Jobcentre manager, said: "Once a job has been filled, the vacancy is immediately removed from the data base.
"The system provides a flexible and speedy way to find and apply for jobs. The terminals have user-friendly menus and no IT skills are necessary. Jobseekers can use on screen maps to choose the area where they want to look for work."
