Several events are being planned to raise money for next year's Golden Jubilee Flower Festival in St Michael and All Angels' Church, Ledbury.
The festival, from June 1 to 4, is being organised by Judy Street as a way to celebrate the Queen's 50-year reign.
Mrs Street said: "There's been a good start to the fund-raising. Max, my English setter, and nine of his doggie friends raised £376 taking part in the Civic Walk.
"Several donations have also been received towards the cost of the flowers and the total so far is £476."
More will still have to be raised and fundraising has now begun in earnest.
Among the events is An Evening of Christmas Stories and Legends illustrated with flowers on Friday, November 30 in St Katherine's Hall. The flower arrangements will be raffled after the event. Tickets are £5 each, to include mulled wine, and will be on sale nearer the date.
A fundraising coffee morning will take place on Saturday January 19 in St Katherine's Hall. Mrs Street is looking for people willing to run a stall. For further details, ring 01531 635404.
