A RIGHT royal occasion is in store at next year's Ledbury Carnival.
The royalty theme was suggested by mayor Phill Bettington to coincide with the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
It was met with general approval by the 30 or so people who attended an open meeting of the carnival committee last week.
Procession co-ordinator Helen Davies said: "The idea is that there will be a pageant of kings and queens through the ages and also, perhaps, the involvement of historical recreation groups."
The success of this year's Flower Power carnival, in support of Ledbury in Bloom, was also widely praised.
