'A MEDIEVAL tapestry of flowers and crafts' greeted visitors to St Bridget's Church, Bridstow, last weekend.
The village flower festival was the culmination of a year's hard work for the organisers, but everyone agreed it had been worth the effort.
Among the highlights of the weekend was a talk on the Renaissance by Matthew Christmas, head of the sixth form at Monmouth College, and an evening of music at St Bridget's performed by 'In Ecclesia'.
The event drew to a climax on Sunday with a Harvest Festival Service attended by the Dean of Gloucester.
Visitors came from across Herefordshire and the Forest of Dean to see the wonderful floral arrangements, while one group of senior citizens even travelled from Wiltshire for the occasion.
