Ross Town 3 Middle Barton 0
ROSS moved up to third spot after this win over their Oxfordshire visitors in Division 1 West of the Cherry Red Records Hellenic League.
Ross started brightly, pinning the visitors in their own half, and striker Billy Davis had an effort tipped on to a post in the 18th minute.
The home side continued to threaten, with Kevin Hardcastle going close before marksman Davis hit the opener from close range in the 30th minute.
Ross did not have long to wait for their second goal, with a clinical Davis strike following a clever pass from 19-year debutant Luke Tovey.
Despite dominating play after the interval, Ross scored their third goal in the 89th minute when, after a Damian Edwards shot was blocked, Rob Connolly pounced from 10 yards.
