Leominster Town 4 Ludlow Town Res 0
LEOMINSTER capped an excellent team per-formance by scoring twice in each half to shatter their local rivals' unbeaten record in Division 1 South of the West Midlands League.
With Sedgley not playing, Leom-inster's win took them to the top of the table.
They opened the scoring midway through the first half and went on to dominate the remainder of the match.
Dan Plowman played a through ball to Daniel Rocke who struck the ball first time from the edge of the box, wide of the despairing dive of Dominic Leach.
Five minutes before the break Steve Williams gained possession from Neil Bennett and made room for himself before crossing to Ashley Botwood who tucked the chance away in spite of the close attention of a defender.
Leominster added a third in the second half when a Ludlow defender sliced the ball into his own goal as he attempted to clear a Rocke corner. Midway through the half Williams played a long ball through for Bennett to surge forward into the box and drive past the hapless Leach and complete the scoring.
