ONE hundred and thirty of the top table tennis players in the country travelled to Hereford Leisure Centre over the weekend for the opening of the Women's British League season.
Each three-player team played five matches and the titles will be decided when the reverse fixtures are completed in January, provisionally arranged for Hull.
The Progress club from London led the Premier Division at the conclusion of play, Cippenham (Slough) led Division 1, Gautby (Wirral) Division 2, and Grove (Market Drayton), Division 3.
l Hereford 2nd lost 9-0 at home to Somerset 2nd in the Veteran Division 4 of the English Counties League.
