ROGER Moran opened up a 26-point lead in the Avon BMTR Hill Climb Championship when he won both rounds at Shelsley Walsh on Sunday.
The Orleton racing driver blasted his 600 bhp Gould-GR37 up the 1,000-yard historic Worcester-shire course in 26.29 seconds to win the morning run-off. Roy Lane followed with 26.48 and Tim Coventry was third on 26.55.
And it was Moran again in the afternoon run-off, stopping the clocks at 26.67 to take the win from Lane on 26.73 and Tim Mason on 26.77.
Luston-based Scott Moran won the 2,000cc Production Sports Class with 32.83 seconds from fellow Caterham 7 driver John Palmer on 32.97.
