Hereford swimmers recently returned from Pond's Forge, Sheffield, following this year's National Age Group Championships.
Six swimmers qualified for the championships, the best entry from the Hereford club for many years. Coach Stuart Morrish accompanied the swimmers and agreed that they all performed well, some competing for the first time in national competition.
Results: Joanna Green-smith (14), 200 fly 9th, 100 fly 20th, 50 back 19th, 100 back 21st; Nick Tully (15) 200 fly 16th, 100 fly 21st; Alex MacDougall (12) 50 back 96th, 200 back 81st; Lee O'Neill (12) 50 fly 77th; Matthew Ashcroft (13) 50 fly 80th; Emma Rogers (13) qualified for the championships, but was unable to attend.
Hereford began this year's Annual Club Championships with a flood of new club championship records.
Joanna Greensmith (14) and Nick Tully (15) each recorded two new records, Greensmith in the 100m individual medley and 50m butterfly, and Tully in the 100m individual medley and 100m freestyle.
