SKIPPER Ian Wright is poised to return to Hereford United's line-up for tonight's Nationwide Conference home clash with Forest Green Rovers (7.45).
Central defender Wright missed Saturday's 1-0 win at Southport with a head injury sustained in the early stages of last week's defeat at Yeovil.
But his return, coupled with Matt Clarke completing a two-match suspension, will lift Graham Turner's men as they seek a victory that could lift them into the top five, depending on other results.
Director of Football Turner had another boost with the return from injury at Southport of striker Paul Fewings, who came on as substitute to score the late winner, and he could bid for a return to the starting line-up.
Teenager Paul Parry was also back on the bench after recovering from a bout of glandular fever although he did not get on, and he could also play a more active part tonight.
That now gives United an almost fully-fit squad to choose from, with the exception of goalkeeper Andy Quy and striker Leroy May who are still on the casualty list.
Striker Steve Piearce had to come off after picking up a slight ankle knock at Southport but is expected to be fit.
Despite the result at Southport, Turner says it was not their best away performance of the season. "I thought we played as well if not better at Yeovil without getting any reward.
"We had a sloppy start at Morecambe but after that we played quite well -- the only disappointments have been the games at Welling and Sutton."
With their poor results against struggling sides this season in mind, Turner believes that Forest Green could pose a big threat tonight.
The Gloucestershire side are one place off the bottom with just three points from seven games.
"They haven't had the best of starts but they had a good season last year. It is a good one to get our feet back on the floor after Saturday's good result.
"If we can get three points it will set us up well for Saturday's home game with leaders Stevenage."
