Hereford United Director of Football Graham Turner says he is relieved his side will not be facing Newport County in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round.
Newport were expected to earn the right to visit Edgar Street on October 16, but they surprisingly lost 2-1 at home to Sussex County League side Burgess Hill Town on Saturday.
Crowd trouble marred Newport's pre-season game at Hereford in August, and Turner said: "We thought they were favourites to go through, but perhaps it is a relief that they haven't.
"We had a problem with a minority of their supporters who ran amok at the Meadow End."
But Turner will not be taking Burgess Hill lightly. "It is going to be just as tough. They will be coming here and fancying their chances of causing an upset.
"We just have to make sure we avoid what happened to us last year."
