HEREFORD United have received another cash windfall -- courtesy of their former player Gavin Mahon.
United have received a further £40,000 from Brentford, who bought the midfielder last year, to help settle outstanding bills.
Brentford, who had already paid £90,000 in instalments for Mahon, have bought out United's sell-on clause, where they would have received 20 per cent of the profit if the player was sold on.
Director of Football Graham Turner said: "We had one or two very pressing bills including overdue VAT, so we decided to settle with Brentford."
