Hereford United's FA Cup third round tie with Leicester City will be played on Saturday, December 11 with a 1pm kick-off.
The club has agreed to the switch to aid policing arrangements at Edgar Street - but stress that it is nothing to do with the fracas between rival supporters at the end of Sunday's second round tie with Hartlepool.
Director of Football Graham Turner said: "It doesn't present us with any major problems.
"It is the feeling that shoppers and football fans mixing together can cause them a headache, and also it will get people in the ground not long after the pubs have opened."
The match will be all-ticket with a capacity of 8,800. Leicester will receive just over 2,000 tickets. Their fans will be allocated half of the Blackfriars Street end and part of the Len Weston stand.
Ticket prices are being raised to cover extra policing costs, with stand prices going up from £9 to £13, and terrace tickets from £7 to £10. Concessions will cost £6 and £5 respectively. Ticket arrangements will be announced at Saturday's FA Umbro Trophy tie with Barton Rovers.
Hereford's reserves lost 2-0 at home to Worcester City in the Central Conference last night, Steve Lutz and Paul Davies bagging the goals.
