GOALKEEPER Scott Cooksey has joined Hereford United on a permanent basis.
The former Bromsgrove Rovers player, who has impressed during a three-month loan spell from Shrewsbury Town, has signed a two-year contract with the Bulls. He will figure in tonight's Nationwide Conference game at Telford United (7.45).
The Bulls have not paid a transfer fee for the 27-year-old but will receive a percentage of any future transfer fee.
Director of Football Graham Turner said: "He has done very well and the crowd has taken to him. He is still very ambitious and feels he can play at a quite high level."
The move is likely to place the future of United's other goalkeeper Andy Quy, who has missed most of the season through injury, in doubt.
United are ravaged by injuries. Rob Elmes, Paul Parry, Ian Rodgerson, Leroy May, Paul Fewings and Tony James are all in doubt.
Striker Steve Piearce is still not ready to return.
United, who have dropped to sixth in the table, are defending a four-month unbeaten away record at Telford, who still need points to secure their safety from relegation.
