Ledbury Magpies played their last match in the Worcester Summer League (Division Three) at the end of August completing the league with a mixed bag of results.
This had been a difficult summer with a lot of regular players absent and Magpies not always finding their true form. However, Magpies did well to retain their position within the Third Division.
End of season trophies were awarded to V Mapp/J Dixon - Player's Player, C Evans - Player of the Season, G Cashin - Most Improved Player.
The Hereford Winter League commenced last Tuesday with Magpies playing Monmouth gaining a convincing victory with a final score of 51-13. Magpies looked strong from the start with good interceptions, defence and shooting.
Magpies will commence Friday training nights at Ledbury Leisure Centre from 6.30-8.30pm from October 5 - all new players welcome (14 years +); or if you would like to join them for an hour of general fitness training, then go along!
