Smethwick 2 Ledbury Town 3
A DEPLETED Ledbury squandered a two-goal advantage but bounced back to claim their fifth West Midlands League Premier Division victory.
Ledbury, hit by injuries and suspensions, started brightly, with Ian Stewart and Stuart Hall going close to breaking the deadlock.
Robbie Colwell, however, headed the opening goal after a good run and cross by Chris Powell and the Herefordshire club doubled their lead when Colwell set up Ian Stewart to tap the ball home.
To their credit, Smeth-wick battled back and drew level with two identical goals from corner kicks.
Ledbury missed a couple of second-half opportunities to regain the lead until the determined Hall profited from a hurried clearance by the home goalkeeper and planted the ball into an empty net.
