Hereford Ladies' Hockey Club's past and present players fought out a 5-5 draw as part of the entertainment to celebrate the opening of the new City Sports Club building.
The past players' team clawed their way back, scoring two late goals to avoid defeat in an action-packed match.
Newcomer Abby Heaton snapped up a hat-trick, while Ollie Linton and Emily Panniers also netted for the current team.
Stephanie Arden, Phil Dinnie, Rachel Wreyford, Claire Richards and Wendy Jenkins replied for the ex-Hereford contingent.
The weekend itself was a success, with former Bath and England rugby star David Trick addressing a 170-strong audience at a special club dinner on Friday night. About 200 revellers flocked to a disco on Saturday.
Although a proposed fun match was postponed between present and former players of Hereford Cricket Club, the cricketers nevertheless found another way to continue the celebrations.
The Grandstand Road building will be officially opened at a future date.
