RUNAWAY champions Kington re-wrote the records books in a crushing 280-run Worceste-rshire County League Division 1 victory over relegated Worcester Nomads.
Kington, who already claimed a new division points tally, blasted a mammoth 405 all out, to record the highest ever total in the section.
Beaten just once in a memorable campaign Kington, who boasted the league's most successful bowler, Craig Jones, also won the championship with the highest points margin.
The town club clouted a staggering 200 runs off the last 20 overs after Clive Scott (86) and David Morgan (48) had laid the foundations with a 116-run opening stand.
Owen Price (42), Dave Exall (31) and Henry Langford (23) accelerated the impressive run rate before Australian all-rounder Jones slammed 65 off only 23 balls and Rhys Price, 53, sharing a breezy 85-run eighth-wicket stand to punish the tormented home attack.
Nomads used 10 bowlers in total but were powerless to halt the run-glut, which included 17 sixes and 39 fours.
In reply, Kington captain Kevin Gwynne snapped up 3-37, an injured Jones, 2-45, and Graham Priday, 2-16, to dismiss the hosts for just 125 in the 45th over and secure their 14th win.
Luctonians rounded off their season with a comfortable 94-run defeat of home club Netherton.
Luctonians, who finished in fifth spot, posted a competitive 187, of which in-form Steve Heathcote struck 43, Ed Rollings, 39 not out, and Mark Lowden, 31.
Although R Oseland (26) and D Hall (22) got started for Netherton, Australian Michael Jeh (4-24) and Karl Pearson (4-41) got down to work, skittling out the hosts for only 93 from 34 overs and bowled the Kingsland club to their 10th victory.
Eighth-place Bromyard battled out a winning draw in a high-scoring clash with visiting Chaddesley Corbett.
Bromyard rattled up a commanding 268-4 and confined the Worcester-shire club to 205-5.
