Eastnor U11's completed a successful first season in the Herefordshire League having already won the Southern Division they went on to win the final off the last ball of the game against Kington (North-ern Division winners) who included four county players.
Eastnor batted first and sensible batting meant they reached 280 having lost only two wickets. Top score was James Febery with 12 runs.
Kington started well with 27 runs from the first pair, but Eastnor bowled well and picked up wickets at crucial times through Sam Burton, Sam Beale and Andrew Hitchings.
The last Kington pair edged towards victory needing just four runs to win off the last over, but an inspired captain Toby Dudfield bowled well to leave Kington needing one run to win off the last ball. The batsman played, missed and set off but Jamie Onions threw down the wicket for victory.
