A SET of 28 new books has been presented to Newent Library by Glebe Chapel, an independent evangelical church.
The books were presented to chief librarian Ruth Sheppard by David Dexter and Theo Cracknell, two of the elders at the chapel.
"It was a way to ensure that important and classic books with a Christian background were easily available," said Mr Dexter.
It is hoped that this will be the first of three instalments of books given to the library by Glebe Chapel.
Among the books presented were autobiographies such as quadriplegic Joni Eareckson's story and former Conservative Party chairman Brian Mawhinney's In The Firing Line.
