OWNERS of small traditional orchards around Ledbury are being invited to an information and training day on Monday, October 1.
The event, being held at Woolhope Parish Hall between 9.30am and 5pm, will provide the opportunity to meet expert advisors and other orchard owners to discuss options for management.
There will be site visits to local orchards and discussions on pruning, planting and grants.
Workshop sessions will be led by Janet Lomas, of the Farmers Wildlife Advisory Group, Chris Fairs, from cider makers Bulmers, and James Bissett, of Herefordshire Council.
The event will cost £20 per person and priority will be given to people who live or work in the Woolhope Dome area. It has been organised by the Woolhope Dome Orchards Day.
