AMATEUR actors in Ledbury will be treading the boards in the Market Theatre for a good cause next month.
The Ledbury Amateur Dramatic Society is holding a special gala performance of its latest production, Neil Simon's Rumours, in aid of St Michael's Hospice.
Proceeds will go to a special appeal, which aims to raise £100,000 for hospice nurses.
The event is being arranged by the Ledbury Hospice Support Group in consultation with LADS and is being supported by the Ledbury Theatre Club.
St Michael's at Bartestree, on the Ledbury-Hereford road, provides care for people suffering terminal illnesses.
Tickets for the gala evening are £10, on sale at the St Michael's Hospice Shop in the Homend. It is on Wednesday, October 17, at 8pm.
Neil Simon is the author of numerous successful comedies including The Odd Couple and California Suite. Rumours was first performed in Britain in 1990 and centres around the efforts of eight party guests to spare their unfortunate host and themselves from scandal.
