ONE of the finest follies in Herefordshire and a part of Ross-on-Wye's picture postcard skyline for well over 150 years, the Gazebo Tower is up for sale.
Herefordshire Council has put the familiar landmark in the hands of Humberts who will be presenting it for sale by informal tender.
The tower, which offers breathtaking views across the famous horseshoe bend of the River Wye and the surrounding countryside, was built in 1833 as a viewing point.
Raymond Highley, of Humberts, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by Herefordshire Council to offer this remarkable building for sale. It offers an extremely rare opportunity to purchase a unique historic local landmark with some of the finest views in the area and a building that will be recognised by many world-wide."
