WHETHER talking to friends at school, waiting for a bus or visiting the regulars at the pub - Pedro the parrot always has something to say.
The blue and gold macaw is something of a celebrity in Gorsley where his antics daily delight residents.
Pedro came to the village four years ago when owner Anne Glover inherited him as a baby and he's been one of the family ever since.
"I don't believe in keeping birds in cages so the first thing we did was let him out," said Anne.
"He had the choice of flying off or hanging around and suffice to say he's still here."
Pedro starts the day on the apple tree in the back garden, before flying off to see his friends.
"He'll shout out to let us know he's off and we won't see him for the rest of the day. When he he wants to come home he'll call out 'mum' from wherever he is and I go and get him."
During an average day, Pedro will annoy the horses, play with german shepherd dog friend Feebee, meet up with pals at the Roadmaker pub and the church - but he'll still be back in time to help with the chores.
Then he likes nothing better than sitting down for his evening meal with the rest of the family.
"His favourite food is pasta and chilli con carne. If you give him seeds he just throws them about."
