Lye Town Reserves 2 Hinton 2
A LAST minute leveller denied Hinton their first West Midlands League Division 1 South victory of the season.
Leading 2-1, the Hereford club looked set to claim three points until a Lye player hammered a shot past the helpless Dave Spencer.
Hinton, who started the match well, took a deserved first-half lead through Darren Braithwaite, who seized upon a poor defensive clearance to volley in from 18 yards.
Lye came more into the game after the break, drawing level on the hour when a home player beat Spencer from 12 yards out.
Hinton pushed forward and regained the lead in the 80th minute. Darren Prew's inswinging corner caused havoc in the Lye defence and Braithwaite stabbed home from close range.
However, Hinton's hard work was undone in the closing moments when a Lye player carried the ball across the visitors' defensive line to score a late equaliser.
