Hereford 8 Longton 34
WINGER Jeremy Grisman was sent off in Hereford's disastrous start to their Midlands One campaign.
Grisman was given his marching orders in the 25th minute following a scuffle and Hereford failed to recover from being a player short.
Captain Jason Lewis scored Hereford's only try, with Finbar Heavens converting a penalty, but it was a disappointing afternoon for the Wyeside club and their supporters.
Bromyard 15
Ross-on-Wye 10
A LACK-lustre Bromyard fought back from a 10-0 interval deficit to clinch victory in this pre-season friendly.
An unconverted try from Nick Frost put Bromyard on the comeback trail and then stand-off Piers Gaunt crashed over to level the scores. Gaunt booted the conversion before slotting over a late penalty to earn Bromyard a confidence boosting win.
