VILLAGERS are being invited to check the facts in the draft version of a new book about their community.
Kimbolton people will be dropping into the village hall on Saturday (September 15) to take a look at the contents of 'Kimbolton with Hamnish - into the new millennium,' which is to be published in November.
The book, by the village's history group, is a sequel to the Kimbolton Domesday Book published 15 years ago.
A chapter in the new book contains sketch maps of each of the townships in the parish. It shows the houses and lists all of the residents in the year 2000.
History group spokesman Tony Malpas said: "The editors, led by Mrs Yve James want to make sure they have got the details correct.
"They are putting the proofs of the chapter on display for people to check."
The village hall will be open from 11am. Pages will be on display on new exhibition boards which have just been purchased by the history group - thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of more than £2,800.
