IN September, whether it has been a good or a bad summer, our thoughts turn to home and a good fire in the hearth. With this in mind, the autumn exhibition at Old Chapel Gallery, Pembridge will set the scene.
Suffolk painter, Timothy Easton heads the line up with an evocative and varied collection of work including landscape, coastal and garden scenes and still life. Don't forget our ABC scheme which enables customers to buy now and pay later!
Forest of Dean ceramicist Jack Doherty will be showing hand-thrown porcelain pieces, building up the decoration by adding stained and textured clay and firing with soda vapour to enhance and develop the clay.
By contrast, Simon Platt, from Malvern, produces pots in stoneware clay, which are intended to be used and not just looked at: to be enjoyed when eating from, and even during the washing up!
Sue Williams, from Hereford, uses a combination of textiles and hand-made paper to produce her framed natural landscape collages.
Looking for a clock with a pedigree? David Booker had been making clocks for the past six years and individually stamps and numbers each one.
Finally, Sally Nicol-Blair, from Shropshire, completes the line up with her colourful collection of wearables, and accessories for the home, including cushions and throws.
The exhibition continues until the end of October.
