FOURTH placed Hereford United face a crucial top of the table clash tonight when they visit Dagenham & Redbridge in the Nationwide Conference (7.45).

The Daggers are lying in second spot and Bulls' boss Graham Turner is expecting a tough match.

Turner predicts the promotion race is set to turn into a scrap between several clubs with no clear front-runner as in previous seasons.

But United's Director of Football is gunning for three points and goes into the match buoyed by his side's 3-0 defeat of Dover at the weekend.

"It was a good result because we've struggled against lower sides in the past, but the performance was pleasing," he said.

"We're now up to fourth in the league and we don't even think we have done as well as we can and still have a third of the squad missing."

Dagenham, who won 3-2 at Stalybridge last Saturday are unbeaten, but Turner is confident his team can get a result.

Hereford are set to name an un-changed squad with Matt Clarke (groin strain) due to face a fitness test.
