EASTNOR Castle recorded its best ever figures for the Steam Fair and Country Show on Bank Holiday Monday.
Castle manager Simon Foster said about 4,700 showed up, which makes it their best ever event.
"It was absolutely fantastic and is almost double the number who came last year," he said.
"I think the BBC holiday programme which we featured in with Fred Dibnah played a big part in the success of the event. Numbers of people visiting the castle have gone up significantly since it was transmitted, it's very encouraging."
The castle is even attracting visitors from across the ocean and was recently featured in a double page spread in the New York Times.
