Bromyard'S first major flower festival in seven years was a blazing vision of colour and perfume to celebrate the Millennium.
Organised by Bromyard Floral Club, the event took place in St Peter's Church over the Bank Holiday weekend and raised about £2,000 which is to be shared between two charities.
Festival organiser Jean Gwalchmai said £1,000 would go toward the church funds and a further £1,000 would be given to the County Air Ambulance.
The theme for the festival was "Bright the Vision", a quote from the Old Testament, and Mrs Gwalchmai said the event certainly lived up to its title.
"When we do a festival we like to do a big one and it gave a lot of pleasure to a lot of people and also brought many people into our church," she said.
"There were some beautiful arrangements which fitted our theme and the piece by the altar looked fantastic viewed from the back of the church where we had more muted greens because it was a blaze of scarlet," she added.
Four other clubs took part in the festival and Mrs Gwalchmai said about 60 people displayed an arrangement.
"It's lovely to take part in an event like this because it's not often you have the opportunity to work with such fantastic flowers because of the cost of it, plus you get to meet a lot of people and make new friends," she said.
