A 16-YEAR-OLD boy from Llandrindod Wells has been honoured for helping children in need.
He is the winner of a new achievement award for young people in Powys called 'Giving it your very best'.
Nick Morgan has raised an amazing £3,500 during the past four years for children in need.
The money has helped take two terminally-ill children to swim with dolphins in Florida; purchase a new digital scale for the Child Health Clinic in Llandrindod; provide funds for International Children's Medical Aid; buy presents for an orphanage in Romania; and fund life-saving operations for children in Romania and Peru.
The award scheme was established by Powys County Council following requests from local people in Llandrindod who felt that Nick's achievements and hard work should be praised and made known to others throughout Powys.
He will attend a special prize-giving ceremony at County Hall on June 30.
