COPPETT Hill, near Goodrich, will be officially designated a Local Nature Reserve on June 5.
This will ensure the preservation of the area and its wildlife for generations.
Herefordshire Council's parks and countryside service will make a small presentation on the day to mark the occasion.
The 250 acres of woodland and open slopes, owned by the Coppett Hill Common Trust, provisionally received Local Nature Reserve status in February this year.
The status acknowledges the work accomplished by the trust during the past 15 years and its long-term commitment to manage the hill.
