NEW evidence has come to light in the case of convicted Hereford murderer Harold 'Ginger' Williams.
But time is running out before his fate is decided.
Former Herefordshire Euro MP David Hallam, who is spearheading a campaign to clear Williams' name, said two people had contacted him with 'helpful information'.
In addition, Mr Hallam believes someone has been trying to contact him during the day while he has been at work.
"Please would that person bear with me and leave a message. Only myself and my wife have access to the machine, so they can speak in confidence," he said.
The Criminal Cases Review Commssion is due to hear Williams' appeal in the next couple of weeks and Mr Hallam has made one final plea for anyone with information to come forward.
"I'm convinced that there is someone in the Herefordshire area who knows far more about this tragic miscarriage of justice," he said.
Mr Hallam can be contacted in confidence on 0121 429 4207.
