CRICKET CLUB - The club has now erected the nets which are used for practise on Thursday evenings from 6.30. Before arriving for practise, please telephone secretary Ian Watson for details on 01544 388693. Martyn Connop has been elected the new chairman. He has expressed the gratitude of the club to Mr and Mrs Hicks for their assistance in providing practise-ground facilities. New players are welcome. Annual subscriptions remain at £5. Membership is free for those under 16.

ARCHAEOLOGY PROJECT - The archaeology group has now completed the field work in the second project area and is beginning to classify, catalogue and research its finds. The programme for the next few months is now being planned and members will be circulated with details shortly.

Oral History Group -- The video training sessions presented by the Rural Media Company had now been completed. They were a great success and would enable members of this group to undertake interviews and other recording of events with greater confidence and professionalism. The sessions were extremely well organised and very stimulating. Thanks were extended to Richard, Hannah and Rachel for their helpful and enthusiastic training and guidance.

ENTERTAINMENTS - The next event to be held in the parish church is a light-hearted concert with St Mary's Singers on Friday, June 9, at 7.30pm Tickets are £3 and there will be a wine bar and a prize draw. For details contact Barry Freeman on 01544 388226.

MUSICIAN - Congratulations to Jessica Selfe who played in the Hereford Youth Orchestra, which made a soundtrack to a short professional film. The world premiere performance took place at the Millennium Dome in Greenwich on May 22 where the orchestra performed to visitors.
