Victory set up a home tie with Chaddesley Corbett in the fourth round of the competition after bowling out Eastnor for 118 in 39 overs.

Chris Ferreira scored 54, backed up by 32 from Asif, but 3-27 for Dave Exall, plus two wickets apiece for Edward Price and Kevin Gwynne, restricted the visitors.

And Scott's 48, added to contributions from both Exall (22) and Price (19), saw Kington to 119-5 in 32 overs and into the next round.

Two games in Division 2 of the Hereford Times Hereford and District League reached a conclusion, and Andrew Mawdsley was top performer with 80 for St Martin's.

His side had a comfortable 143-run victory when their score of 236 proved too much for Hereford-ians.

Fifty not out from Graham Monteath and an unbeaten 49 for Matt Aubrey guided Bartestree & Lugwardine to a home victory in the only other Division 2 match.

They reached Brock-hampton 3rd's target of 125 for the loss of just three wickets after Chris Williams had picked up 4-28 to restrict the visitors.

Luctonians 3rd against Strollers was the only Division 1 match to defy the damp as Strollers managed just 65-9 in their 45 overs in reply to Luctonians' 148-7.

Herefordshire under-12's match with Gwent was reduced to 20 overs per side because of the adverse weather.

Humphrey Hodgson made 13 as the county totalled 47-4, but Gwent reached the target within 13 overs for the loss of just one wicket.

The widespread rain meant complete washouts for Hereford and Colwall in the Gloucestershire & Wiltshire Division 1 of the West of England Clubs Championship.

And the Flint & Cook Marches League and local games in the Worcester-shire County League suffered a similar fate.
