THE winner of The Hereford Times Wales Open Golf Competition is Kirsty Sockett, of Burghill.
Mrs Sockett's was the first correct entry drawn and earns her a final day hospitality package for two at the Wales Open, the newest stop on the PGA European Tour, at The Celtic Manor Resort, near Newport, on Sunday, June 11.
Herefordshire golf star David Park will be playing in the competition, which is being staged on June 8-11, and our golfing question was: Where did David Park gain his first European Tour victory in June 1999?
The answer: Slaley Hall, Northumberland.
The next five correct answers drawn earned runners-up prizes of a pair of tickets for the final day.
The runners-up were: BE Lloyd, of Thruxton; Mr S Morgan, of Hereford; Helen Green, of Hereford; Mr A Watkins, of Hereford; and Lorraine Cockroft, of London.
