ATHLETES from Hereford and County AC claimed three silver medals at last weekend's Midland Counties Champion-ships held at Solihull.
Adam Crickmore clocked a personal best time of 14.1 secs to take the silver in the under-17 100 metres hurdles final; Corin Hughes ran superbly to finish second in the final of the ladies' under-20 1500 metres in 3-59.22; and Anna Smith completed a hat-trick of silvers with a throw of 34.56 metres in the ladies' under-20 hammer final.
Other good performances from the eight-strong Hereford team came from Matthew McGowan, who ran 15.33 secs for fifth place in the under-17 hurdles final; Joel Ward-Davies with a fourth place in the under-17 pole vault with a jump of 3.40 metres; and Mike Jones who threw 43.75 metres for fifth place in the final of the under-17 hammer.
