Orleton based racing driver Roger Moran was back on the pace when he drove his Pilbeam-Judd MP72 at Gurston Down on Sunday.
Moran raced to second spot in the morning qualifier with a time of 27.72 secs over the 1,160-yard Wiltshire course.
And he took equal second place with Roy Lane on 27.64 in the first championship run-off.
Then, on a damp track, Moran took second place in the afternoon qualifier with 31.23 secs, behind championship leader David Grace, who recorded 30.07.
Roy Lane won the second run-off with a 27.81 secs run from Grace on 27.93 and Moran, who stopped the clocks at 28.23.
