Eastnor'S WCL Division Two match against Cookley was finally abandoned due to the rain in the 38th over with the home side in the precarious position of 130-9.
EASTNOR v COOKLEY
Put into bat the villagers suffered a quick early setback as Sellick and Boughton wreaked havoc, the home side falling to 14-3 in just six overs.
Nick Bollen batted on bravely and with skipper Christiaan Ferreira (22) hitting five quick fours the total raced on to 46 in the next eight overs before Ferreira fell. Harris held on for 30 minutes for his six runs before becoming Sellick's fourth victim of the day. Asif hit seven boundaries in his 31 runs when Bollen was finally out - run out - for 19 runs in 25 overs. His innings lasted exactly 100 minutes.
Flynn then entered the attack taking out Asif at 101, quickly followed by Emery and Vicarage in his next over. Naim (3no) and Arshad (19no) put on 29 runs in the next seven overs before the rain finally ended the day. Sellick (4-31) and Flynn (3-30) were the bowlers causing problems.
Eastnor 2nds v Cookley 2nds cancelled - Cookley 2nds unable to get a side.
