Colwall and Eastnor Cricket Clubs will be hoping to take a step further down the road towards Lord's when they play the next round of the Wadworth 6X Village Cricket Championship on Sunday.
Both teams face away ties in the Worcestershire, Hereford-shire and Powys group round three with Colwall visiting Aston Ingham and Eastnor at Kington.
Eastnor progressed with a previous round walkover against Brockhampton and Kington defeated Feckenham.
Colwall scraped through their previous round home tie with Garnons, who were playing their first ever game in the competition.
Garnons won the toss but were dismissed for 147 with Dave Sutton's spin claiming 3-46.
Medium-pacer John Andrews picked up 3-41 as Colwall struggled to 147-7 and victory by virtue of losing less wickets. They were guided home by a steady unbeaten 57 from Tim Riley.
Colwall's opponents Aston Ingham were involved in one of the best all-round performances in the history of the competition when they visited Avoncroft.
Aston Ingham racked up 274 for 4 with G Rigden scoring a splendid 104 and M Dudfield 83, and then Rigden took a fine 6-28 as the hosts subsided to 186 for 8, E Cunynghame offering the main resistance with an unbeaten 81.
The winners of the Aston Ingham v Colwall tie face an away game at either Presteigne, Cookley or Elmley, while the victors in the Kington v Eastnor match will be at home to Chaddesley Corbett in the group semi-finals.
Both Sunday's matches start at 2pm.
