STRETTON Sugwas Primary School has been named as one of the West Midlands' top 10 animal-friendly schools by the RSPCA.
The school caught the eye of animal welfare judges for its wildlife area, which includes creature-friendly features.
The school is also developing an animal and education policy, involving parents and children.
The pupils are among the first in Britain to receive the RSPCA's Animal-Friendly School of the Year Award.
