WHILE most of the weekend cricket in the county was abandoned due to rain, one team did not let the wet weather dampen their spirits.
Bosbury 2nd's Division 2 game against Lads Club in the Hereford Times League at Widemarsh Common was one of the few to reach a conclusion, with the visitors recording a 43-run win.
And Bosbury's veteran all-rounder Brian Barnes enjoyed the match more than most - fielding on the boundary under the dry confines of an umbrella.
Barnes bowled his allotted 10 overs and proceeded to field one-handed, with the other clasping the brolly, and also escorted team-mates at the end of overs to keep them rain-free.
