THE second Leominster meeting under BHRC rules saw a real star on the rise in the shape of the four-year-old pacer High Heel Sparks.
Cardiff trainer Terry Laventure partnered the talented performer to his first win in open company in the second race of the day and then visited the winner's enclosure again for the final race of the afternoon.
This was the feature race, over a mile and a quarter, and the gelding gunned to the head of affairs on the final circuit.
There was drama behind when Sara Mould and Bon Daniel moved to shadow him and slipped on the rain-soaked going, catapulting the driver from the sulky.
While Terry and High Heel Sparks were cruising to another imposing triumph, Sara was still prostrate. She was taken immediately to Hereford General Hospital for precautionary neck x-rays, but was discharged later that evening.
Next meeting; Leomin-ster, Saturday 2 p.m.
