Hereford Market Auctioneers have undergone a directorship reshuffle.
The joint chairman, Terry Court and director Julian Gallimore, representing the Russell, Baldwin and Bright team on the board of Hereford Market Auctioneers, have withdrawn from their responsibilities and handed over their directorships to Robert Meadmore and Nicholas Gorst.
For ten years, Mr Meadmore has been responsible with Michael Evans for the store sheep section. He is from a well-known Monmouthshire farming family and learnt his trade at Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye.
Mr Gorst has been involved in Hereford Market, on and off, since 1990. He learnt his trade, after qualifying at Southampton, with auctioneers in Cornwall.
Mr Court has also handed over his joint chairmanship responsibilities to Michael Evans, who has been a director since 1992 and has respresented the firm in Hereford Market for 35 years. Mr Evans said he was honoured and proud to be given the opportunity of taking over from Mr Court and was looking forward to the challenge. He knew it would be a hard act to follow.
Mr Court, speaking on behalf of Mr Gallimore and himself, said they were delighted to hand over their responsibilities to such energetic and capable operators.
This is another change for the Russell, Baldwin and Bright team whose company name changes on July 1 to Brightwells.
