Ledbury Town played their final Banks's League game of the season with third place secure and ahead of tonight's (Friday) final against Wellington at Bromyard.
LEDBURY TOWN 2, Leominster 2
The first goal of the game came on the half hour, a deep corner for Jason Emery was met at the far post with a towering header from Ian Forshaw heading down, Nick Stockley guided the ball home for 1-0. Two minutes later Robbie Colwell added a second, Hodgetts who had been struggling with his kicking played the ball straight to Colwell eventually bundled the ball over the line for 2-0.
The second half started promisingly for Ledbury but this flattered to deceive and the game lost its edge with both sides seemingly just going through the motions.
Leominster pulled one back after a defensive error when Bennett nipped in to stab the ball home for 2-1.
Ledbury did start to wake up a little and Grubb went close after Hodgetts again made a poor kick but Leominster got an equaliser with five minutes remaining Price crossed for Stokes who finished left footed from 12 yards.
Ledbury thank everyone for their support this season and hope to see you all at Bromyard tonight (Friday) for the League Cup final. Kick off 7.45pm. A coach leaves the Ledbury ground at 6.30pm.
