SPRING SHOW - Although there were fewer entries than in previous years at Weobley Garden Spring Show, partly due to the heavy rain earlier in the week, they were of a high quality. The display of spring flowers, flower arrangements and excellent contributions from the children contrasted greatly with the dark skies and torrential showers of the afternoon. Prizes awarded were: Cheryl Evans Perpetual Trophy: 1 Tibb Richardson, 2 Kath Dyer, 3 Peter Watson; best in show: John Cockrane; best daffodil: Marion Harrison. First prizes in the flower arrangement classes were won by Kath Dyer, Sheila Parrett and Brenda Thompson. The children's entries were of a high standard and presented the judge with a difficult task. Thanks go to all the children who took part and also to the staff at the school and the Cub and Scout leaders for all their help and support they continue to give to the garden society, the show committee and all those who supported and helped in any way.
