ONE of cinema's most famous automobiles is to make an appearance in Herefordshire.
Genevieve, the eponymous hero of the 1950s hit comedy, will be among a group of veteran cars taking part in a 1,000-mile trial across the country.
Organised by the Car Club of Great Britain, the rally will commemorate a similar trip that took place in 1900 to introduce the new mode of transport to remote areas of the country.
Coming through Ross-on-Wye, Hereford and Leominster on its way north, the procession will also include a 1900 Daimler, 1894 Benz Velo and 1896 Panhard-Levassor.
There will also be a chance to see some of the 'dual-fuel' cars of the future including the electric Toyota Prius and Honda Insight. The cars are due to arrive in Herefordshire on Friday, May 19, and leave the following day.
